Eddie and your story are very relatable to me. I'm not a metalhead although I do worship Green Day, and that's mainly because it has been my faithful companion during my toughest days in college.

My taste in music has mostly been off the beaten track which is why I and my choices have mostly been made fun of, and rarely appreciated.

So...thanks for this post. Just reminded me that I'm not alone.
