I don’t carry baggage.

[Pieces of My Life]

I don’t carry baggage. No, I don’t.

Because whatever I carry with me is a part of me, not my baggage that I have to drag along, wary of whether they would last with me till the end or would get exhausted of the journey and of the company. I do not have to be wary of my baggage getting lost or stolen from me because what I bring along isn’t any baggage; they are a part of me.

Whatever is lost was baggage. Whatever left me was baggage. And it was the emptiness that they left behind, and the fact that they never came back and never will, are what made me realise that they were never a part of me.

They were simply some well-loved baggage.

Yes, I don’t like carrying baggage.
